Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our ambulatory clinic team at Intermountain Medical Center- Surgical Specialists in Murray, UT. You will assist clinicians, gather patient information, and help deliver high-quality care across acute and chronic visits.

The role requires completing a Medical Assistant program (or equivalent experience or RN/LPN license in Utah), BLS, basic computer skills, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program OR 1 year MA experience OR current active and in good standing RN/LPN license in Utah.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients and caregivers.
• Utah: MA residency program option if certified with <1 year MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of the clinician, gathering information relevant to the visit and condition.
• Communicate clearly with patients through telephone and in-person interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient care, with attention to detail and follow-through.
