Job summary

PeaceHealth in Washington state is hiring a Medical Assistant for Orthopedics in a full-time daytime role. The position supports physicians and care teams in delivering patient care within MA scope of practice. Salary range is $25.62–$34.58 per hour, with a possible hiring bonus.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, setting up rooms, injections, wound care, and coordinating tests or follow-ups. WA MA certification and accredited MA program completion required.

Qualifications

• Must complete an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MOA program acceptable if eligible to sit for MOA exam.
• Apprenticeship pathway acceptable for entry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and take vital signs as applicable.
• Set up exam rooms and maintain supplies for procedures.
• Administer injections and assist with wound care under supervision.
• Prepare and sterilize equipment for treatments.
• Schedule tests and follow-up appointments with patients.
• Maintain patient records and data entry in EMR.
