Location: This role will float between Orthopedic locations in Spokane – Downtown Spokane, Northpointe, and Spokane Valley.

Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (MA‑C) is an integral part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider office team, working under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. The MA‑C performs safe clinical skills within the scope of practice, maintains continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients, and their families.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care
  • Organize patient flow with front office staff
  • Interview patients and obtain vital signs
  • Assist patients in preparing for exams or treatments
  • Perform specimen collection, including venipuncture
  • Administer medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
  • Relay instructions and information to patients and their families or caregivers
• Clerical Support
  • Send and receive patient medical records
  • Facilitate patient referrals
  • Prepare forms for patients

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistants
• Washington State Medical Assistant‑Certified (MA‑C)
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. As required by pay transparency laws, the competitive compensation range for this position is $22.34 – $32.14 USD per hour. Pay is influenced by skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will reflect the appropriate step on the pay scale aligned with the applicant’s years of experience.
