Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician for the Orthopedics service at its College of Veterinary Medicine teaching hospital. The LVT will provide advanced diagnostic imaging, anesthesia monitoring, and pre- and post-operative care for small animal patients. Candidates must graduate from an accredited Veterinary Technician program, obtain a Georgia license within six months, and have experience in an orthopedic veterinary setting. Qualifications

• Experience working within an orthopedic area of a veterinary hospital or private specialty clinic.
• Strong skills in diagnostic imaging (radiography, CT).
• Ability to handle animals calmly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide input during patient rounds and manage patient receiving schedules.
• Perform technical tasks: phlebotomy, injections, IV fluid administration.
• Assist with radiology imaging and surgical case coordination.
