Job summary

MercyOne Genesis is seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a growing Level III trauma program. You will lead complex trauma cases within a fast-paced, collaborative team and enjoy strong system-wide support, autonomy, and resources to excel.

The role is 100% inpatient, Monday–Friday 8–5 with shared evening and weekend call. Fellowship in Orthopedic Traumatology or Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Arthroplasty is preferred; ABOS board certification or eligibility required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and board eligibility with ABOS/ABS.
• Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Traumatology or Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Arthroplasty.
• ABOS Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Ability to obtain Iowa and Illinois medical licenses.
• Strong clinical and surgical skills with commitment to quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic trauma care in a Level III trauma center.
• Collaborate with trauma, anesthesia, orthopedics and critical care teams to optimize outcomes.
