A leading healthcare provider seeks an Orthopedic Technician to assist in fabricating splints and applying casts for orthopedic injuries. This role involves supporting physicians, educating patients on the proper use of medical equipment, and documenting services. Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma and BLS certification, ensuring quality patient care.
The Orthopedic Technician assists with the fabrication of splints and casting for various orthopedic injuries, and the application of prefab braces for the back, upper, and lower extremities. This position also involves setup, adjustment, and education on medical equipment such as crutches, as well as providing application of traction devices, CPMs, and overhead frames. Working under direct supervision, this role supports physicians in the recovery and treatment of orthopedic injuries.
Responsibilities include:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licensure/Certification: BLS (CPR) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider required.
