General Summary
Fills prescriptions, routine orders for medications and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and performs other related duties.
Essential Functions:
- Assists pharmacists as directed including filling orders and preparing labels.
- Assists patient, taking prescription, necessary information, etc. Operates cash register. Delivers medications as needed.
- Submits and receives orders from suppliers.
- Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications.
- Assists with I.V. preparation and delivery.
- Trains other employees in day to day procedures.
- Participates in the performance evaluation process for Technician I and Driver.
- Position shares responsibility with other team members for daily delivery of patient medications to a Script Center in Mt. Gretna, PA. (Applies only to staff working at Good Samaritan Pharmacy location only; Department 43514).

- Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
- Logs all drugs delivered to pharmacy.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
Work Experience:
- 2 years Pharmacy experience. Required
Licenses:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
- Pharmacy Technician Program. Upon Hire Required
