Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responds to EMS calls whether emergency or routine transport, observes safety policies, and operates an emergency vehicle with due regard for others.
• Provides health care instruction/education to patient and family members.
• Prepares patients for scheduled procedures and assists in patient assessment.

• Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan of the patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age-specific data, providing appropriate, age-specific treatment.

• Maintains policies, objectives, quality, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
• Participates in educational programs and meetings.
• Provides outstanding service, fosters teamwork, and practices fiscal responsibility.
