Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to provide direct and indirect orthopedic care per orders. You will apply and maintain orthopedic equipment, instruct patients and families, and support the medical team in the operating room and inpatient units.

The role requires a formal orthopedic training program or ASOP certification, high school diploma, and availability 8 am–5 pm on weekdays. Some locations may require travel to Hooksett and Manchester.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal Orthopedic training program or certification (ASOP) within 3 months.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• National Board Certification or registration preferred.
• Ability to work 8 am–5 pm, Monday to Friday.
• Willing to train/cover at Hooksett and Manchester locations.
• Ability to apply, adjust, maintain, and remove orthopedic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect orthopedic care per medical orders.
• Apply, adjust, maintain, and remove specified orthopedic equipment and appliances.
• Instruct patients and families on use of equipment and appliances.
• Assist medical staff in orthopedic rooms, inpatient units, and operating room.
• Accept telephone orders within scope and hospital policies.
• Assist with office duties including room turnover, data entry, scheduling, and pre-certifications.
• Collaborate with medical and office staff to support patient care.
• Contribute to interdepartmental teamwork and relationships.
