Job summary

SolutionHealth is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to provide skilled care for orthopedic patients at Stratham with coverage for Hooksett and Manchester locations. The role requires applying and adjusting orthopedic equipment, instructing patients, and supporting the medical team in various care settings.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and completion of orthopedic training or ASOP within 3 months; clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a formal Orthopedic training program or ASOP certification must be obtained within 3 months.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• National Board of Certification of Orthopaedic Technologists or ASOP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect orthopedic care by applying, adjusting, maintaining, and removing orthopedic equipment, devices, and appliances.
• Instructs patients and families on use of orthopedic equipment and devices.
• Assists medical staff in orthopaedic room, inpatient units and/or operating room.
• Accepts physician orders within the scope of responsibility and Elliot Hospital policies.
• Applies fracture braces on written orders of the physician.
• Assists with daily office functions including exam room turnover, data entry, and scheduling.
