Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years related patient care experience in orthopedics preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred or required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assist in applying casts, braces, splints, and orthopedic devices.
• Requisition, store, and dispense supplies as directed.
• Inspect and maintain orthopedic equipment.
• Instruct patients in cast care and use of devices; assist in rounds with doctors.
• Cut and fashion devices from metal, plastic, leather and wood as needed.
