Job summary

Qualifications

• General knowledge of standard orthopedic procedures and practices.
• Working knowledge of orthopedic devices and appliances and proper fitting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology pertaining to orthopedics use.

Responsibilities

• Set up and apply traction in accordance with standard procedures and instructions.
• Assist with the application of casts, braces, and prostheses. May assist in surgical procedures.
• Inspect and maintain orthopedic equipment; instruct patients in cast care and device use.
