Job summary

Providence Health and Services seeks an Orthopedic Technician to assist physicians with casts, limb stability, wound care, and patient education within the scope of their certification. This role supports care in hospital or clinic settings in California.

Required: accredited orthopedic training, BLS within 30 days of hire, and at least one year of orthopedic patient care experience. NBCOT certification is preferred upon hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited orthopedic technical training program.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• At least one year of full-time experience in treating orthopedic patients in hospital, clinic or office settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthopedic physician with casts and limb stability.
• Provide wound care.
• Deliver general patient education and nursing care within licensure scope.
