Job summary

Surgery Partners in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the perioperative team at a specialty orthopedic ambulatory surgery center. You will support surgeons, anesthesia providers, RNs, and other staff while maintaining a sterile field and preparing instruments and implants.

The role requires advanced orthopedic expertise and the ability to scrub complex procedures, including total joint arthroplasty, sports medicine, and spine cases, with a strong emphasis on patient safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• CST certification preferred or as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years orthopedic surgical experience preferred.
• Proficient in orthopedic instrumentation, implants, power equipment, and sterile techniques.
• Ability to independently scrub all orthopedic procedures including total joint arthroplasty, sports medicine, and spine cases.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains equipment for orthopedic procedures.
• Sets up operating room with instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions.
• Assists surgical team pre-operation and ensures aseptic technique.
• Prepares orthopedic instrumentation, implants, biologics, and power equipment.
• Manages implants and vendor-supplied instrumentation.
• Supports surgeons during complex orthopedic procedures and maintains efficiency.
• Performs accurate counts and maintains sterile technique during high-volume cases.
• Transports patients to the OR and positions them; applies sterile drapes.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction, and related diagnostic equipment.
• Transfers patients to recovery and restocks the OR after procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
