Job summary

Ambe Healthcare Staffing in Glendale, CA is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our Operating Room team. You will prepare and set up cases, maintain a sterile field, pass instruments and supplies, assist the surgical team, and perform counts with the RN.

The role requires CST and BLS certification, a high school diploma or GED, and OR experience across multiple specialties including orthopedics, vascular, and robotics.

Qualifications

• CST certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Previous Operating Room/Scrub Tech experience required.
• Proficient across multiple surgical specialties: Total Joint / Orthopedics, Vascular, Robotics.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Ability to prepare and maintain sterile fields.
• Experience with surgical counts, including instruments, sponges, needles, and blades.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up surgical cases, equipment, supplies, and instruments.
• Maintain a sterile field using proper aseptic technique.
• Pass instruments, supplies, and medications during procedures.
• Assist the surgical team throughout procedures.
• Perform accurate instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the RN.
• Maintain equipment and surgical areas.
• Support patient transportation and other OR-related duties as assigned.
