Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Austell, GA seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to join a fast-paced orthopedic OR. You’ll ensure sterile prep, assist surgeons and nurses, and help maintain a safe, efficient operating room. Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience, HS diploma, and certification are required.

Orthopedic experience and hospital background are a plus. This on-site per diem role offers collaboration with top surgeons and a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, preferably in orthopedic surgery.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification required; hospital experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, tools, and sterile field management.
• Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sterile prep and maintain sterile field.
• Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment, instruments, and supplies are sterile and set up properly.
• Work closely with the surgeon and registered nurse to anticipate needs and support surgical procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control standards.
• Understand the surgical procedures being performed and assist with tasks as needed.
• Help maintain and monitor the sterile field, ensuring the safety of every patient.
• Assist in turnover and restocking of OR following procedures.
