Job summary

Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists in Spokane, WA is hiring a Surgical Technologist Supervisor for our ambulatory surgical center. The role supervises Surgical Tech staff, ensures instruments, implants, supplies, and equipment are ready for every case, and supports departmental financial and operational goals.

This full-time position offers Mon-Fri 8-hour shifts with no nights or weekends, and seven paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• Must hold a current Surgical Technologist registration in the State of WA.
• BLS Certification (within 30 days of hire).
• Certified Surgical Technologist (preferred).
• Ortho & supervisor experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise Surgical Technologist staff including hiring, training and competency assessments.
• Maintain instruments, implants, supplies, and equipment; ensure sterile processing standards.
• Communicate with physicians to ensure readiness of instruments for each case.
• Coordinate OR Department workflow to be productive and efficient.
• Support financial and operational goals for the OR Department.
• Coordinate with vendors for instrument/implant processing and staff training.
• Ensure sterilization instructions are followed for each instrument/implant.
• Assist ASC Director with Administrative duties and capital budgeting.
• Participate in evaluating new procedures and products for TOSC.
• Manage implant inventory and outdating; reorder consignment implants weekly.
• Update physician preference cards; coordinate maintenance of equipment.
