Job summary

CT Assist is seeking an Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant for a locums assignment in California. Start is February 2027 for a 3‑month term. The role involves assisting orthopedic surgeons in the OR, including first‑assist duties, as well as patient rounding post‑surgery and hip/knee joint care.

Epic will be the primary EMR used. Shifts are available as 5x8s or 4x10s with competitive hourly compensation and benefits packages.

Qualifications

• Certified by The Joint Commission.
• Physician Assistant (PA) license and orthopedic specialization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthopedic surgeons in the operating room, including first‑assist duties.
• Provide patient rounding post‑surgery.
• Care for hip, knee, and joint patients.
• Document patient care in Epic EMR.
