Job summary

Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal, UT is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to join a group including a fellowship-trained surgeon, NP, and skilled staff. You’ll provide general orthopedic care with subspecialty opportunities in a collegial Lifepoint Health environment.

The hospital features a Mako Robot on-site, 3 operating rooms, Level IV Trauma, a robust rehabilitation program, and Athena EMR, all within a community known for its outdoor recreation and supportive team.

Qualifications

• General orthopedic procedures; interest in joints preferred
• Willingness to take general call; subspecialty interests welcome
• Experienced candidates preferred

Responsibilities

• Clinic: Tue, Thu, Fri with ~50 patients/week
• OR Block Days: Mon & Wed
• Hospital rounding with limited rounds; APP support
• Call: 10 days per month, incl. one weekend and 2–3 call-ins weekly

• General orthopedic procedures: interest in joints preferred
• Subspecialty interests welcome; willingness to take general call
• Experienced candidates preferred

Schedule

• Clinic: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (50 patients/week avg)
• OR Block Days: Monday & Wednesday
• Hospital Rounding: Minimal - Hospitalists admit most patients; APPs assist with rounding
• Call requirement: 10 days per month, including one weekend (2-3 call-ins weekly / 5-7 phone consults)
