Job summary

Arthrex San Antonio seeks a friendly, service-oriented Sales Associate to support total sports sales in hospitals, surgery centers, and physician practices. You will assist with OR case coverage and ensure implants, instruments, and equipment are ready for scheduled procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1–2 years of professional work experience in sales, healthcare, athletics, customer service, clinical support, or a related field required.
• Previous orthopedic or medical device experience is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced operating room environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends based on surgical schedules.

Responsibilities

• Support Total Comprehensive Sports sales in assigned hospitals and clinics.
• Prepare implants and instruments for scheduled procedures, ensuring sterility and readiness.
• Maintain organized, sterile equipment and inventory.
• Build professional relationships with orthopedic surgeons, PAs, nurses, surgical technicians, sterile processing departments, and hospital staff.
• Participate in customer visits, product demonstrations, surgeon education, and in-service training with senior sales reps.
• Gain knowledge of hip and knee anatomy, joint replacement procedures, implant systems, and surgical techniques.
• Assist with inventory management, instrument logistics, case planning, product restocking, and loaner set coordination.
• Ensure implant and instrument availability with accurate inventory records and product accountability.
• Help identify customer needs and provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after surgeries.
• Maintain compliance with hospital credentialing requirements, HIPAA regulations, and applicable laws.
• Participate in sales meetings, product training, cadaver labs, trade shows, and continuing education opportunities.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn through mentorship and ongoing technical education.
• Develop knowledge and skills to advance into an independent Total Joint Sales Representative role.
• Assist with special projects and other territory responsibilities.
• Ability to lift and transport instrument trays and surgical equipment up to 50 pounds.
