Job summary

Carle Health, in Illinois, seeks an experienced RN for North Tower 4. This 41-bed unit handles total joint replacements, trauma, urology and gynecology care, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants with RN license and >1 year experience and a 3-year commitment.

You will perform assessments, develop care plans, document care, and coordinate with physicians and surgeons to ensure safe transitions and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Current RN license in Illinois.
• Education: Nursing Diploma; Associate’s Degree.
• Work Experience: RN >1yr.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care to support care team.
• Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops plan of care.
• Delivers and documents nursing interventions and patient care procedures.
• Modifies plan of care to ensure patient and staff safety and timely escalation of concerns.
• Educates patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, medication management and transition needs.
• Coordinates with physicians and surgeons on patient care and care transitions.
