Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced RN for the NT4 unit to provide comprehensive patient care across orthopedics and trauma services. The role includes admission assessments, care planning, patient education and collaboration with physicians to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with active license.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• 1+ year of RN experience preferred.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities.
• Ability to educate patients on wound care, mobility and self-care.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit-specific nursing duties as defined by scope of service.
• Implement care plans and nursing theories in patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation for healthcare team use.
• Conduct initial assessment on admission and develop an appropriate care plan.
• Educate patients and families on wound care, mobility and transition needs.
• Coordinate with physicians and surgeons on patient care.
• Delegate and supervise HCT staff interventions.
• Ensure safety and address hazards or incidents promptly.
• Complete annual education as required for Hip and Knee programs.
