Job summary

UNC Health Johnston Fourth floor Surgical unit is a 33 private bed postoperative unit with a Joint Center for Total Joint patients. The Clinical Nurse coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.

This full-time, onsite position in Smithfield, NC requires Graduation from a school of professional nursing, NC RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least one year of nursing experience. Day shift; 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
• Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Participates in education, evaluation of care, implementation of care, and planning with the interdisciplinary team.
