Kernodle Clinic in Burlington, NC is seeking a patient-focused Registered Nurse First Assistant to support our Perioperative team in the Orthopedics Department. The RNFA provides comprehensive perioperative care from preoperative evaluation through postoperative recovery and discharge planning.

This full-time role (40 hours) offers opportunities to work closely with surgeons, residents, and APPs, perform first-assist duties, manage intraoperative tasks, and contribute to patient safety and

Competenze

• BSN degree required.
• RN license required.
• Successful completion of an accredited RNFA program including didactic education and supervised clinical practice.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and surgical first-assisting practices.
• Excellent clinical judgment and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, residents, APPs, and perioperative staff.
• BLS certification required.

Mansioni

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care from preoperative evaluation through postoperative recovery and discharge planning.
• Perform preoperative patient management in collaboration with surgeons and other providers.
• Assist with intraoperative procedures as the first assistant to the surgeon.
• Write preoperative orders and postoperative orders per protocols.
