Duke Health Cary Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join the founding clinical team of the new ambulatory surgery center scheduled to open in 2027. The RNFA serves as the qualified first assistant, delivering perioperative care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.

Qualifications

• BSN is required for the RNFA role
• MSN is preferred but not mandatory
• Completion of an accredited RNFA program per AORN Core Curriculum is required or expected
• Current RN license and CNOR/BLS certifications are required or in progress

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive perioperative patient care across preop, intraop, and postop phases
• Serve as the qualified first assistant during surgical procedures
• Assist with postoperative documentation and orders
• Participate in patient rounds and discharge planning
• Support continuity of care and patient outcomes
