Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Orthopedic Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical RN) on the 7th floor Tower at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. The role supports patients with musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, or post-surgical recovery, providing comprehensive assessments, care plans, and education.

The position requires an active state RN license and BLS, with ACLS and BSN valued. Full-time, dayshift, with a $4-$8 shift differential and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN license is required.
Current BLS certification at hire and maintain current.
ACLS certification is preferred but not required.
Ventilator management experience is a plus.
BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients.
Monitor vital signs, intake/output, and clinical indicators.
Recognize signs of deterioration and respond promptly.
Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
Serve as liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team.
Educate patients on condition, treatment options, and recovery plan.
Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and social workers to tailor care plans.
