Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the American Medical Association.
• Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with an orthopedic background.
• Registered Radiology Tech by ARRT or ARRT registry eligible.
• Current CPR certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in positioning radiologic procedures as prescribed by policy.
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain history, confirm understanding.
• Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provides radiation protection.
• Logs radiological procedures, processes charges and related paperwork.
• Maintains cleanliness of exam rooms and stocks supplies in the department.
• Assists with patient transportation and patient flow as directed.
