Job summary

OrthoCarolina Boone is seeking a PRN Radiology Technologist to provide diagnostic radiographs while upholding strict radiation safety standards. You will operate multiple radiology systems and ensure patient comfort and accurate procedure documentation.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT/AMA approved training and at least one year in orthopedic radiology, with CPR recommended. This role supports flexible staffing and patient care continuity in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program approved by the ARRT and AMA.
• Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with an orthopedic background.
• Professional license or ARRT registry eligibility; CPR recommended.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and select exposure factors with radiation protection per policy.
• Explain procedures to patients and address questions; obtain clinical history.
• Log procedures, process charges, and related paperwork.
• Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms and stock supplies.
• Assist with transportation of patients between modules and radiology department.
• Support patient flow in examination modules as directed by a supervisor.
