This APP role covers outpatient orthopaedics with hospital-based and surgical services, offering clinical autonomy within a collaborative setting.

The ideal candidate will evaluate orthopaedic conditions, perform injections, interpret imaging, and coordinate care with surgeons and hospital teams.

Qualifications

• Licensure as PA-C or NP with orthopaedic experience.

Avante Orthopaedics is a growing, physician-led orthopaedic practice seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with orthopaedic experience to join our expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who enjoys a varied orthopaedic practice, values clinical autonomy within a collaborative team, and wants to grow with an organization that is expanding its outpatient, hospital-based, and surgical services.

The Role

• Orthopaedic clinic evaluation and treatment
• Hospital inpatient orthopaedic coverage
• Perioperative evaluation and surgical care coordination
• Evaluation of acute musculoskeletal injuries and chronic orthopaedic conditions
• Review and interpretation of X-rays and other musculoskeletal imaging

Experience with ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections is a significant plus.

Locations

Clinical coverage will primarily be in College Park, Maryland and Washington, DC. The position will also include occasional travel to Maryland's Eastern Shore. Travel time for these assignments will be compensated.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Is comfortable independently evaluating common orthopaedic conditions and injuries
• Has experience with injections, splinting, casting, and imaging interpretation
• Works well with physicians, APPs, clinical staff, and hospital teams
• Is dependable, flexible, and comfortable working across different clinical environments
• Is willing to travel within the DMV and occasionally to Maryland's Eastern Shore
• Has strong communication and patient-care skills
• Is interested in growing professionally as the practice expands

Spanish fluency is a plus.

Avante Orthopaedics offers a competitive hourly rate commensurate with orthopaedic experience, with compensated travel time for designated assignments.
