Barbour Orthopaedics & Spine in Chamblee, GA is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our orthopedic team. The role involves high-level patient care as an extension of the physician, with a focus on comprehensive evaluations, collaborative treatment planning, and surgical assistance.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited PA program, NCCPA certification, and 2+ years in orthopaedics or related fields, with active licensure in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner program.
• NCCPA certificed and active license required.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience in orthopaedics, urgent care, sports medicine, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including histories and physical examinations.
• Collaborate with supervising orthopedic physicians to formulate treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies (X-rays, MRI, CT, labs).
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient care and education.
• Assist surgeons in the operating room, including first assist duties.
• Perform procedures such as joint injections, wound care, casting, splinting, and suturing.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
