Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking an Orthopedic Physician Assistant for the full-time Orthopedic Clinic. Under supervision of the Chief PA and Attending surgeon, you will evaluate orthopedic issues, formulate treatment plans, order tests, assist in surgery, and coordinate patient care across the department.

The candidate must hold a Master’s degree from an ARC-PA accredited PA program, be eligible for Massachusetts licensure and NCCPA certification, and demonstrate strong judgment,

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history and physical exams and interpret labs/imaging.
• Formulate and implement orthopedic treatment plans and coordinate care.
• Assist in surgery and pre/post-operative orders.
• Order and interpret tests and coordinate referrals with surgeons.
• Document treatment plans and progress in patient records.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and medications.
