Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia, with a clean professional history.
• Proven experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, demonstrating essential skills in patient assessment and treatment.
• Strong manual therapy capabilities, alongside proficiency in developing effective exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, specifically WebPT, to enhance patient documentation and care continuity.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth patient assessments to understand rehabilitation goals, constraints, and progress.
• Provide personalized treatment interventions, offering hands-on techniques such as manual therapy every hour to ensure comprehensive care.
• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to optimize mobility, strength, and function.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using WebPT EMR software, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
• Advocate for non-invasive treatment options, focusing on strategies that reduce dependence on medications.
• Utilize motivational techniques to empower patients, facilitating their journey towards improved health and well-being.
