Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Edina, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the 4th Floor Ortho Spine unit at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. The role features 12-hour night shifts, two shifts per week, and every third weekend, with benefits including medical and dental coverage.

You will support the professional nurse, assist with basic patient care, transport patients and equipment, stock supplies, and document tasks.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required; ability to obtain if not already certified.
• Completion of Fairview OnTrack Nursing Assistant training or equivalent program.
• Six months of direct patient care experience preferred or required per unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the professional nurse in delivering patient care and transporting patients and equipment.
• Set up and maintain patient rooms; reorder and stock supplies.
• Document tasks and monitor patient condition; report findings to RN promptly.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; orient patients and families.
• Transport patients and supplies and ensure timely arrival to appointments.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and equipment; stock supplies.
