TMI Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery, P.A. in Arlington, TX seeks an AR/Billing Analyst to coordinate patient and insurance billing for our multi-specialty orthopedic group.

This non-exempt, full-time role focuses on the full revenue cycle from charge entry to payments. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (GED acceptable) with two to three years of related billing experience and strong knowledge of insurance processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and surgery billing is required.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Two to three years related experience required.
• Familiarity with Athena software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient and insurance billing for the multi-specialty orthopedic group.
• Follow revenue cycle from charge entry through insurance and patient payments.
• Follow up with insurance companies, appeal denials, resubmit claims.
• Ensure claims processed correctly and payments posted.
• Respond to inquiries from insurers, patients, and staff.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Establish payment plans with patients.
• Communicate trends and underpayments to the Revenue Cycle Manager.
• Submit refunds for processing.
