Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff across orthopedic procedures. You will prepare exam rooms, document patient histories and vitals, and assist with minor procedures while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities include imaging coordination, patient education, and administrative duties such as scheduling and records handling. A CMA/RMA or equivalent is preferred, with 2–3 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
• 2-3 years of clinical experience; orthopedic or surgical setting is a plus.
• Proficiency in EMR systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with examinations and minor procedures.
• Record patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints in EMR.
• Apply and remove orthopedic devices under supervision.
• Educate patients on preoperative and postoperative care and medications.
• Assist with in-office imaging coordination and follow-up.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms and clinical areas.
• Handle scheduling, phones, and patient records.
