Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) is hiring dedicated Medical Assistants to support our clinics in delivering outstanding patient care. You will work closely with clinical staff and the administrative team to ensure patients receive excellent, compassionate service throughout their visits.

We value reliability, teamwork, and a patient-first mindset. The role involves direct patient interaction, clinical assistance, and coordination of tests and procedures in a fast-paced orthopaedic setting.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered Medical Assistant (MA) certification from a recognized program.
• At least one year of experience as a medical assistant; orthopaedic setting a plus.
• CPR certification and ability to respond quickly in a clinical environment.
• Strong focus on patient experience and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients from waiting room to exam room in a courteous manner.
• Take patient histories, chief complaints, vitals, and prep for examination.
• Review charts and prepare equipment for procedures.
• Administer injections, remove casts/splints, and dressings as directed by physician.
• Assist with scheduling tests and coordinating surgeries when needed.
• Maintain patient files in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Respond to patient and payer inquiries and maintain supplies.
