Job summary

Panorama Orthopedics & Spine Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care support and liaise between patients and providers. You will prepare patients, assist with examinations, and help with imaging, procedures, and documentation in an orthopedic setting.

The role requires strong communication, HIPAA awareness, and proficiency with electronic medical records, with opportunities for growth and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certificates preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or Certified Orthopedic Tech preferred.
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred.
• Three years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits and assist with examinations and treatments.
• Interview patients and record histories; obtain imaging results per protocol.
• Assist providers during examinations and manage injections, dressings, and specimen preparation.
• Enter orders into EMR and coordinate prescriptions, imaging, and therapies.
• Schedule follow-ups, tests, and procedures; coordinate surgeries per protocol.
• Maintain exam rooms and ensure cleanliness, stocking supplies and sterilizing equipment.
• Triaging patient inquiries and documenting communications in EMR.
