Resurgens Orthopaedics in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Orthopedic Technician to support licensed providers and coordinate patient care in a fast-paced orthopedic practice.

The role includes preparing patients for examinations, taking histories, assisting with procedures, and handling EMR documentation. A medical assistant program graduate with CPR/BLS and strong communication skills is preferred.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program is preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (CPR/BLS) certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares patients for visit by directing them to the room and assisting with positioning.
Interviews patients and records medical histories; may order x-rays per provider order or protocol.
Assists providers during examinations: dressing changes, vital signs, medications, casts/splints, sutures, and lab prep.
Generates orders for prescriptions, imaging, rehabilitation therapy, and inputs into EMR.
Schedules follow-up appointments, tests, results, procedures, and injections.
Coordinates surgery scheduling per protocols and obtains necessary clearances.
