Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program required; Certification or RMA preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly with patients and external parties.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized; strong grasp of medical practices and administrative processes.
• Knowledge of EMR systems; familiarity with diagnostic testing and sterilization equipment.
• Must maintain confidentiality; bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and keep them clean.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Record medical history and vital statistics in medical records.
• Schedule patient appointments and perform clerical tasks.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Explain procedures and instructions to patients; ensure proper disposal of waste.
