Job summary

Resurgens-Orthopaedics is seeking a Medical Assistant/Orthopedic Tech to support licensed providers and act as a liaison between patients and clinicians.

You will assist with examinations, take vital signs, prepare injectable medications, and manage EMR entries while maintaining accurate records and patient confidentiality. This onsite role requires strong communication, organization, and teamwork across multiple site locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with CPR/BLS.
• Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program or Certified Orthopedic Tech preferred.
• Two years orthopedic experience preferred; three years medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for visits and assist with examinations and treatments.
• Record medical histories and obtain imaging results per protocol.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures; prepare medications and labels.
• Generate orders for prescriptions, imaging, and therapy; input into EMR.
• Schedule follow-ups, tests, and surgeries; coordinate preop and postoperative appointments.
• Maintain exam rooms and sterilize instruments; ensure HIPAA compliance.
