Qualifications

• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required and BLS certification is required.
• Requires strong computer skills and the ability to work with medical software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking and recording vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures and perform phlebotomies, EKGs, and related tasks.
• Coordinate patient care including pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support and ensure complete medical records and billing information.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment including disinfection of equipment and rooms.
• Order supplies and manage medication-related tasks and recalls.
• Develop and maintain effective communication with patients and staff.
• Complete onboarding/orientation and simulations as needed.
• Work under direct supervision of providers and coordinate with multiple departments.
