Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required and compliant with Meaningful Use.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with medical software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinic.
• Arizona fingerprint clearance or related background requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and documenting symptoms.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures, including basic tests.
• Coordinate care: referrals, authorizations, and scheduling; communicate results.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support billing processes.
• Clean and disinfect exam rooms and equipment; adhere to safety standards.
• Order supplies and manage medication-related tasks; stock patient areas.
• Foster effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Complete onboarding and orientation activities as directed.
• Interact with clinicians, staff, and external contacts to support patient care.
