Job summary

Banner Health's BTMC Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery clinic in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care. You will prepare patients, assist with exams and procedures, manage referrals, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications include a Banner-approved MA program, active MA certification (RMA/CMA/CCMA/NCMA), high school diploma, CPR/BLS, and strong computer and communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved medical assistant program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA or NCMA) required.
• BLS/CPR certification and strong computer and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs and document chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations and scheduling; relay test results to patients.
• Maintain accurate records for billing and administrative tasks.
• Maintain clean clinical areas and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Order supplies and manage medications as directed by clinicians.
• Foster effective communication with patients, families and staff.
• Complete onboarding activities and work under provider supervision.
• Interact with various departments and external contacts regarding patient care.
