Job summary

The CORE Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to support orthopedic and spine care. You will room patients, obtain vitals, review intake paperwork, prepare charts and radiology images, and assist providers with medications and forms.

You will maintain clean exam rooms, manage EMR entries, and ensure patient education as directed by the provider, while remaining compliant with HIPAA and clinic policies.

Qualifications

• Pass the MA competency exam within the first six months of employment.
• MA certifications listed (RMA/CMA/CCMA/NCMA) with current membership proofs or per State regulations.
• Experience with office medical procedures, insurance knowledge, EMR and scheduling software.
• Certification or training must meet meaningful use requirements.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vitals, review intake paperwork and prep procedure setup.
• Assist provider by preparing prescriptions and medical forms.
• Manage EMR documentation, chart prep, and tests/results tracking.
• Maintain exam room standards, clean workspaces, and restock as needed.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and promote a positive patient experience.
