The CORE Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to support orthopedic and spine clinics. The role involves preparing patients, collecting vitals, and coordinating with providers to ensure smooth visits in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have CMA certification, completed training within 12–18 months, and familiarity with EMR and scheduling software. BLS is required, and state regulations govern credentialing.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in orthopedics, spine surgery, or pain management is preferred.
• Graduated from a formal training program during the last 12-18 months, and have the CMA certificate.
• Active Medical Assistant certification such as CMA/AMT or other recognized credentials per state regulations.
• Experience with office medical procedures and knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR and scheduling software.
• Certification or additional training must meet requirements for meaningful use.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Facilitates communication between the patient and the provider during patient care.
• Collects and shares pertinent information with the provider.
• Prepares the patient for visit with the provider, including rooming, vitals, and intake paperwork.
• Assist the provider in preparing patient prescriptions and completing medical forms.
• Retrieves and responds to voicemails within 24 business hours and documents actions in EMR.
• Maintain HIPAA compliant environment and keep the workspace clean.

High school diploma/GED, and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program

CMA certification (AMT/CMA) or equivalent as defined by state regulations
