OrthoVirginia Inc. is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant (Clinical Team Member) to join our orthopedic care team in a fast-paced clinic. You will support physicians, coordinate clinic activities, and help ensure an outstanding patient experience.

The role involves preparing exam rooms, documenting histories and vital signs, assisting with examinations, and coordinating surgical and post-operative tasks as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification or registration or eligibility per state requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within established timeframe.
• Healthcare, clinical, or patient care experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic health record (EMR) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain exam rooms prior to patient appointments.
• Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, height, weight, and other clinical information.
• Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures as directed.
• Enter physician orders for imaging, therapy referrals, and treatments.
• Coordinate patient flow and communication to ensure a smooth clinic experience.
