Job summary

MyMichiganHealth is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support providers, manage patient flow, and maintain records in a clinic setting. The role includes triaging calls, taking vital signs, assisting with exams, and preparing rooms for procedures, while ensuring accurate documentation.

Eligible employees may receive a $2,500 sign-on bonus for a two-year commitment and must adhere to OSHA and CLIA guidelines. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication and patient interaction skills.
• OSSHA annual training compliance is required.
• Knowledge of standard medical office policies and procedures.
• Healthcare experience in a clinic setting preferred.
• Must be able to document and code accurately in medical records.

Responsibilities

• Triages calls, schedules urgent/add-on appointments, relays test results.
• Greet patients, perform routine pre-exam procedures, update records.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare the patient area, sterilize instruments, maintain room setup.
• Perform clerical tasks and order supplies/medications as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
