Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support providers in patient assessment, documentation, and care coordination across office settings.

Under supervision, you will greet patients, collect vitals, reconcile medications, and assist with exams. You will ensure accurate records, coordinate tests, and support an environment focused on safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in healthcare settings preferred.
• Experience in physician clinic setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• OSHA training annually required.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls, schedule daily urgent/emergent add-ons, relay test results and coordinate referrals.
• Greet patients/families and perform routine pre-examination procedures, record data and maintain records.
• Assist provider with examinations and procedures.
• Order supplies and medications as needed; maintain patient care equipment and environment.
• Maintain patient records with HIPAA compliance and accuracy.
