Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners is seeking a patient-focused medical assistant/office assistant for our WA region. You will meet patients, help with procedures, handle measurements and specimen collection, and support clinicians during visits.

Role requires strong communication, organization, and familiarity with medical terminology. Orthopedic experience and GE Centricity knowledge are a plus, with a welcoming team environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of Word & Outlook required.
• Orthopedic and/or casting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GE Centricity is a plus.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills
• Pleasant, professional phone skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Meets patients and prepares them for procedures.
• Assists patients with walking transfers, dressing, collecting specimens & preparing for exam.
• Gets DMEs for doctors or nurses.
• Maintains infection control and cleans exam/procedure rooms.
• Keeps records, orders, sorts and stores supplies.
• Documents all phone calls and actions in EMR.
• Assists staff and physicians with duties as necessary.
• Identifies OSHA issues and follows HIPAA regulations.
