Illinois Bone and Joint Institute (IBJI) is seeking a Medical Assistant for an outpatient orthopedic clinic. This role supports both administrative and clinical tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly.

You will escort patients, prepare exam rooms, assist physicians, manage referrals, coordinate schedules, and handle charting and patient communications. Prior orthopedic experience and CMA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (CMA) preferred.
• CMA (AAMA), RMA, CCMA, or NCMA certification preferred; CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in an orthopedic healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with practice management and EHR software; Google and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to exam rooms on a timely basis and inform team of delays.
• Prepare patients for examinations and radiologic studies; assist physicians as needed.
• Coordinate referrals and manage patient education and instructions.
• Handle clerical duties: scheduling, charting, insurance verification, and forms.
• Maintain infection control and environmental standards in exam areas.
